Welcome to the Illinois Neurodiversity Initiative (I-N-I)
We are so glad you found us!
I-N-I is a program of supports for admitted University of Illinois
students who identify with a neurodivergent condition.
Come explore what the INI family has to offer!
MISSION
INI Provides an informed foundation of supports championing neurodivergent students at the University of Illinois
VISION
We aim to amplify the neurodivergent voice, empowering university students to emerge as influential leaders, change agents, and active participants in addressing the world’s biggest problems.
VALUES
Student Centric: INI programming focuses on the whole student; their intersectional identities and existing support networks
Relational: Our leadership is intentional about knowing each student, building trust, and identifying individual needs.
Community-Minded: We use an interdisciplinary approach to foster community among our students and reach across the university to reshape a more inclusive campus culture.
WHAT IS NEURODIVERSITY?
IT MEANS OUR BRAINS ARE ALL DIFFERENT!
Do you identify with…
- ADHD
- Autism
- Dyslexia
- Dyscalculia
- Dysgraphia
- Dyspraxia
- Learning Disorders
Different brains require different supports!
